How to read your Knoman tide clock
We have designed an unbelievably simple way to represent and read the tide on a tide clock!
This is our own design and is unique to Knoman tide clocks!
The enclosed area between the two ellipses creates a unique shape that represents the tidal ebb and flow. High tide represented by the larger area at the top (12:00 position) and low tide represented by the smaller area at the bottom (6:00 position). As the blue tide hand rotates it indicates whether the tide is in ebb or flow and at what stage of the cycle it is at.
Read the tide independently of the time
This example reads
Approx 1,5 hrs past low tide and the tide is flowing in
Approx 4.5 hrs to high tide
